Job summary

Home Group in Reading seeks a Housing Manager to shape safe, welcoming neighbourhoods. You will build relationships with customers, own housing issues from first contact to resolution, and manage anti-social behaviour to keep areas safe.

You will inspect estates, work with contractors, and collaborate with partners to protect income for reinvestment. A full driving licence and local knowledge are important, with a hybrid schedule and generous leave.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing management or a similar customer-focused role.

• Knowledge of housing law, safeguarding, and sustaining tenancies.
• Strong organisational skills and taking ownership from start to finish.

• Salary £32,000 plus 34 days leave, rising to 39, and 2 paid volunteering days each year.

You have

• You have experience in housing management or a similar customer focused role.

The practical bits

• Working hours Monday to Friday 9.00 - 5.00 with some level of flexibility.
• Hybrid role, mainly community based across Slough, Winchester, South Buckinghamshire and Maidenhead. You'll join the team in our Reading office on Wednesdays for anchor days, with some flexibiity for home working.
• You'll be joining a small but perfectly formed friendly group of experienced Housing Managers. We are high achievers in team 501 and celebrate success and special occasions on a regular basis.
• You need a vehicle insured for business use, and we pay your mileage.
• You need an Enhanced DBS check that we pay for.
