Job summary

Home Group Limited in Reading is seeking a Housing Manager to lead community-based housing management activities with a hybrid working pattern. You will build relationships, resolve issues from initial contact to closure, and coordinate with contractors to maintain safe, compliant homes.

The role requires knowledge of housing law, safeguarding, and tenancy sustainment, plus a valid driving license and access to a vehicle. You’ll join a supportive team focused on positive neighbourhood outcomes.

Salary £32,000 plus 34 days leave, rising to 39, and 2 paid volunteering days each year.

You have

• You have experience in housing management or a similar customer focused role.
• You have confidence managing anti-social behaviour and complex customer situations.
• You have knowledge of housing law, safeguarding, and sustaining tenancies.

• You have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

The practical bits

• Working hours Monday to Friday 9.00 - 5.00 with some level of flexibility.
• Hybrid role where you will be mostly community based with the ability to work from our Reading office for anchor days where we all meet as a team on Wednesday's and some allowance for a bit of home working.
• You'll be joining a small but perfectly formed friendly group of experienced Housing Managers. We are high achievers in team 501 and celebrate success and special occasions on a regular basis.
• You need a vehicle insured for business use, and we pay your mileage.
• You need an Enhanced DBS check that we pay for.
