Job summary

Home Group Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Housing and Property Lead to focus on tenancy support, ensuring homes are safe and well maintained, and to manage rent accounts as part of a housing management service. You will support customers to manage tenancies and rent accounts with the aim of helping them move to secure, long-term accommodation.

You will engage customers in their tenancies, assist with housing benefit claims, and may issue notices when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing a housing caseload and handle landlord and housing management duties.
• Know-how of re-letting of rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed.
• Able to take on a lead role within the team, offering guidance and support to your colleagues.
• The ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.
• A can do positive attitude, you're proactive and well organised, and able to work on your initiative.

Responsibilities

The practical bits

• Work pattern will be between 8.00am - 4.00pm Monday - Thursday
• Based at our service in Sunderland, there is an expectation you offer housing management support across other services in the area if required
• Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans, making benefit claims and doing tenancy signs ups,
• You'll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
