A supportive housing organization based in Greater London is seeking a Housekeeper to join their team. In this role, you will manage housekeeping across several properties while working in a friendly and supportive environment. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of CHOSHH and understand the complexities faced by homeless individuals. SHSW Service is an 82-bed service for single homeless. Currently we have 23 properties spread through Merton Borough. You will be responsible for the housekeeping of part of these properties. You have the possibility to go around different locations and not to be placed in only one place.
SHSW is a very supportive and welcoming team that makes teamwork their best strength. You have the opportunity to gain more skills and bring your experience to the team.
Our customers come with a range of support needs, such as those associated with mental health, care leaver status, probation, ex-offending, domestic violence, learning disabilities and asylum seeking.
You will join a lively, supportive, and friendly team to work together to provide an excellent service for our young people.
You will be required to complete housekeeping for all the properties monthly.
You need knowledge of CHOSHH and how this may apply in the day-to-day work you do. Understanding of the reasons why people become homeless and the needs and challenges they face and of statutory as well as the voluntary resources available to homeless people.
