Job description
Overview

Are you detail orientated with a passion for creating a welcoming and hygienic environment? Do you take pride in your work and enjoy contributing to the wellbeing of others? We are looking for a Housekeeper to work at our residential care home based in Hackenthorpe, S12.

Hours: 10 hours per week. Shift Pattern: 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM, weekends only. Pay: £12.21 per hour.

Induction

All new team members are required to attend an induction at our training room in S13 prior to starting work in the care home. These are run every three weeks, starting on a Monday between 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM.

The job role
  • To maintain high standards of cleanliness within all areas of the care home
  • To ensure that all communal areas such as dining rooms, lounges and bathrooms are kept to a high standard, and comply with infection control guidelines
  • To maintain the cleanliness and hygiene standards in our residents’ rooms, whilst making sure to respect the privacy, dignity and individual needs of everyone we support
  • To set and clear tables and help with simple preparation and serving of meals
  • To safely store all equipment and cleaning materials
  • To support positive relationships with our residents, their families, colleagues and professionals
  • To uphold the Sheffcare values
  • To implement and uphold safe working practices in line with our regulations and our policies and procedures
  • To attend regular training where required
