Job Overview

AMU/AMA at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital are looking to recruit a Housekeeper. The role involves ensuring the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained. The successful applicant will be involved in stock ordering and distribution. They will be involved in the preparation of meals for those who use our service and ensuring the kitchen area on the ward is maintained in line with national and local guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained.
  • Stock ordering and distribution.
  • Preparation of meals for service users and maintenance of the ward kitchen area following national and local guidelines.
  • Ordering non-clinical supplies, cleaning, catering, and other tasks to create a suitable environment for high quality care.
  • Report to the Ward Manager with maintenance faults or issues preventing a suitable environment from being maintained.
Qualifications
  • IT skills to enable use of the trust Oracle ordering system.
  • Punctual, reliable and able to work as part of a team.
