Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Colchester is a 59 bed service providing a range of intensive support and rehabilitation services for men with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders or mental health needs. A full-time Housekeeper is needed to provide cleaning on wards and communal areas, working 40 hours per week from 7am to 3pm.

Ideal candidates have experience in cleaning or housekeeping, a positive attitude, and good communication skills; DBS checks are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, housekeeping or domestic work.
• COSHH knowledge desirable.
• Friendly, conscientious with a positive attitude.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the site maintains a high level of cleanliness.
• Carry out daily & weekly cleaning regimes.
• Maintain & replenish stock and ensure equipment is clean & well maintained.
• Employ safe working practices & adhere to health & safety procedures.
• Comply with COSHH regulations.

Cygnet Hospital Colchester is a 59 bed service providing a range of intensive support and rehabilitation services for men with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders or mental health needs.

We are recruiting for a full-time Housekeeper to provide general cleaning and housekeeping duties on the Wards and communal Areas at the Hospital to help maintain a safe & healthy environment for our service users.

You will work 40hrs a week Monday to Friday 7am – 3pm.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of providing friendly, effective cleaning service with a positive attitude.

You’re day-to-day…

• Ensure the site maintains a high level of cleanliness
• Carry out daily & weekly cleaning regimes
• Maintain & replenish stock and ensure that equipment is clean & well maintained
• Employ safe working practices & adhere to health & safety procedures
• Comply with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations
