Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Bury Dunes is seeking an outstanding Housekeeper to help maintain a safe, clean environment for residents in our care. You’ll work 32 hours per week at Cygnet Bury Dunes, from 8:00 to 16:30, Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, performing cleaning and housekeeping duties across inpatient facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or domestic work (desirable).
• Knowledge of COSHH (desirable).
• Friendly, conscientious and have a positive attitude.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a cleaning and general housekeeping service.
• Ensure the site maintains a high level of cleanliness.
• Carry out daily & weekly cleaning regimes.
• Replenish stock and ensure equipment is clean and well maintained.
• Operate safe working practices and adhere to health & safety procedures.
• Comply with COSHH regulations.

You’ll be working 32 hours per week (8am to 4:30pm Monday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday) at Cygnet Hospital Bury Dunes, helping maintain a safe and healthy environment for the people in our care.

Cygnet Bury Dunes provides a wide range of inpatient mental health services for men and women including specialist deaf services and emergency admission services. Each service user has a bedroom with en suite facilities and a range of communal spaces including a gym, laundry, occupational therapy kitchen, therapy garden and woodland walkways down to the Elton Reservoir.

Your Day-to-Day…

• Provide a cleaning and general housekeeping service
• Ensure the site maintains a high level of cleanliness
• Carry out daily & weekly cleaning regimes
• Replenish stock & ensure that equipment is clean & well maintained
• Employ safe working practices and adhere to health & safety procedures
• Comply with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations
