Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Bury Dunes is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to help maintain a safe, clean environment for residents. You’ll work 16 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday, 8am–4:30pm, delivering daily and weekly cleaning across wards and communal areas.

Experience in housekeeping is desirable; COSHH knowledge is a plus. The role offers pension benefits, employee discounts, and career progression within a supportive team at Cygnet.

Responsibilities

• Provide a cleaning and general housekeeping service.
• Ensure the site maintains a high level of cleanliness.
• Carry out daily and weekly cleaning regimes.
• Replenish stock and ensure equipment is clean and well maintained.
• Practice safe working practices and health and safety procedures.
• Comply with COSHH regulations.

We are looking for an outstanding Housekeeper with a passion for making a difference to others.

You’ll be working 16 hours per week (8am to 4:30pm on Saturday & Sunday) at Cygnet Hospital Bury Dunes, helping maintain a safe and healthy environment for the people in our care.

Cygnet Bury Dunes provides a wide range of inpatient mental health services for men and women including specialist deaf services and emergency admission services.

Each service user has a bedroom with en suite facilities and a range of communal spaces including a gym, laundry, occupational therapy kitchen, therapy garden and woodland walkways down to the Elton Reservoir.

Your Day-to-Day…

• Provide a cleaning and general housekeeping service
• Ensure the site maintains a high level of cleanliness
• Carry out daily & weekly cleaning regimes
• Replenish stock & ensure that equipment is clean & well maintained
• Employ safe working practices and adhere to health & safety procedures
• Comply with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations

You are…

• Experienced in housekeeping or domestic work (desirable)
• Knowledgeable of COSHH (desirable)
• Friendly, conscientious & have a positive attitude
• A good communicator
