Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Colchester, part of the Cygnet Group, is recruiting a full-time Housekeeper to provide general cleaning and housekeeping duties on the wards and communal areas at the Hospital. You will work 40hrs a week, Monday to Friday, 7am–3pm, under a schedule that supports a safe and healthy environment for our service users.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in cleaning and housekeeping with a friendly, positive attitude. DBS check may be required.

Qualifications

• Experienced in cleaning, housekeeping or domestic work (desirable).
• Knowledge of COSHH (desirable).
• Friendly, conscientious and have a positive attitude.
• A good communicator.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the site maintains a high level of cleanliness.
• Carry out daily and weekly cleaning regimes.
• Maintain and replenish stock and ensure that equipment is clean and well maintained.
• Employ safe working practices and adhere to health and safety procedures.
• Comply with COSHH regulations.

Cygnet Hospital Colchesteris a 59 bed service providing a range of intensive support and rehabilitation services for men with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders or mental health needs.

We are recruiting for afull-time Housekeeper to provide general cleaning and housekeeping duties on the Wards and communal Areas at the Hospital to help maintain a safe & healthy environment for our service users.

You will work 40hrs a week Monday to Friday 7am – 3pm.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of providing friendly, effective cleaning service with a positive attitude.

You’re day-to-day…

• Ensure the site maintains a high level of cleanliness
• Carry out daily & weekly cleaning regimes
• Maintain & replenish stock and ensure that equipment is clean & well maintained
• Employ safe working practices & adhere to health & safety procedures
• Comply with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations
