Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Colchester is seeking a Part-time Housekeeper to provide general cleaning on wards and communal areas, 12 hours per week (Fri, Sat, Sun, 8am–12pm), with flexible hours. The role includes maintaining cleanliness and adhering to safety guidelines.

The position offers a competitive hourly rate (£13.15 rising to £13.45 after 3 months), with benefits such as free parking, Health Cash Plan and free meals. COSHH awareness is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, housekeeping or domestic work.
• Knowledge of COSHH regulations.
• Friendly, conscientious with a positive attitude.
• Good communicator.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the site maintains a high level of cleanliness.
• Carry out daily & weekly cleaning regimes.
• Maintain & replenish stock and ensure equipment is clean & well maintained.
• Employ safe working practices & adhere to health & safety procedures.
• Comply with COSHH regulations.
