Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Colchester is seeking a part-time Housekeeper to provide general cleaning and housekeeping duties on the wards and communal areas to help maintain a safe and healthy environment for service users. You will work 12 hours a week, Friday to Sunday 8am-12pm, with flexible hours.

The ideal candidate will have cleaning/housekeeping experience, be friendly, conscientious and have a positive attitude. DBS check will be required after successful shortlist.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cleaning, housekeeping or domestic work (desirable).
• Knowledge of COSHH regulations (desirable).
• Friendly, conscientious with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the site maintains a high level of cleanliness.
• Carry out daily & weekly cleaning regimes.
• Maintain & replenish stock and ensure equipment is clean & well maintained.
• Employ safe working practices & adhere to health & safety procedures.
• Comply with COSHH regulations.

Cygnet Hospital Colchester is a 59 bed service providing a range of intensive support and rehabilitation services for men with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders or mental health needs.

We are recruiting for a Part-time Housekeeper to provide general cleaning and housekeeping duties on the Wards and communal Areas at the Hospital to help maintain a safe & healthy environment for our service users.

You will work 12hrs a week covering Friday, Saturday and Sunday 8am-12pm (hours can flexible).

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of providing friendly, effective cleaning service with a positive attitude.

You’re day-to-day…

• Ensure the site maintains a high level of cleanliness
• Carry out daily & weekly cleaning regimes
• Maintain & replenish stock and ensure that equipment is clean & well maintained
• Employ safe working practices & adhere to health & safety procedures
• Comply with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations
