An FCA-regulated insurer on the edge of Bolton is expanding its household claims team to take on a big new contract, seeking an experienced handler for a straightforward 9 to 5 schedule. Responsibilities include owning claims from notification to settlement, verifying policy cover, coordinating suppliers and trades, and maintaining clear customer communication while spotting potential fraud.

Qualifications

• Experience handling household/home insurance claims.

Responsibilities

• Own household claims from first notification to settlement: escape of water, storm, accidental damage, theft, buildings and contents claims.
• Check policy cover and gather what's needed to move each claim forward.
• Appoint and manage the suppliers and trades who fix issues.
• Keep customers updated clearly and honestly through every claim.
• Spot and refer potential fraud on home insurance claims.
