Job summary

Red Dot Search UK Limited is recruiting a Household Claims Handler for an FCA-regulated general insurance business on the edge of Bolton. You will manage a caseload from first notification to settlement, handling events such as escape of water, storm, accidental damage, theft, and buildings and contents.

The role requires 12 months of household/home/property claims experience, strong phone confidence, and GCSEs in English and Maths.

Qualifications

• Household, home or property claims experience (around 12 months) and related validation or desktop claims experience counts.
• Confidence on the phone and across multiple systems.
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (C/4 or above).

Responsibilities

• Manage a personal caseload of household claims from first notification to settlement (escape of water, storm, accidental damage, theft, buildings and contents).
• Check policy cover and gather information to progress each claim.
• Appoint and manage suppliers for the policyholder.
• Keep customers updated clearly and honestly throughout.
• Spot and refer potential fraud.

Household Claims Handler | Bolton (BL7) | up to £28,000 | Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

We are recruiting a household claims handler for an established, FCA-regulated general insurance business on the edge of Bolton. They are adding to their household claims team after taking on a significant new contract.

What you will be doing

• Running your own caseload of household claims from first notification through to settlement: escape of water, storm, accidental damage, theft, buildings and contents
• Checking policy cover and gathering the information needed to move each claim forward
• Appointing and managing suppliers on behalf of the policyholder
• Keeping customers updated clearly and honestly throughout
• Spotting and referring potential fraud

What you will need

• Household, home or property claims experience. Around 12 months is plenty, and validation, home emergency or desktop claims experience counts too. Strong insurance customer service backgrounds will also be considered.
• Confidence on the phone and across multiple systems
• GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or above in English and Maths
