Assistant General Manager | Full-time
At Wagamama, we’re an eating house for the soul. With over 160 UK restaurants and growing, our purpose is to nourish the world from bowl to soul. Inspired by fast-paced Japanese ramen bars since 1992, Wagamama is a celebration of Asian food brought to life.
We’re looking for an Assistant General Manager to join us on our journey of true nourishment.
The role:
As an Assistant General Manager, you'll be an integral part of the restaurant leadership team, supporting the General Manager in leading the restaurant in the Wagamama way. You’ll embody our people promise, values, and core leadership behaviors. You’ll inspire and motivate your team to provide exceptional service, always striving to exceed expectations. You should have a passion for people, food, and hospitality, and be driven to make positive change.
Benefits include a competitive salary, £3000 bonus opportunity per year, and an average of £140 tips per week.*
Additional perks include access to Wagestream, a dedicated 6-week training program, free food allowance on shifts, discounts at Wagamama and other brands, internal progression opportunities, wellness programs, family-friendly policies, and financial wellbeing support.
What we look for:
The Wagamama way:
Kaizen, meaning ‘good change,’ is our core philosophy. It influences everything we do—from our food to our work culture—focusing on continuous improvement and championing change in communities and for the planet.
We celebrate diversity, personality over perfection, and welcome everyone’s unique story. We promise to support you, build trust, and create safe spaces for honest conversations.
All we ask is for you to bring your authentic self to the role.
Be you, be Wagamama.
Wagamama is proudly part of Disability Confident.
