Assistant General Manager | Full Time
At Wagamama, we’re an eating house for the soul. With over 160 UK restaurants and growing, our purpose is to nourish the world from bowl to soul. Inspired by fast-paced Japanese ramen bars since 1992, Wagamama is a celebration of Asian food brought to life.
We’re looking for an Assistant General Manager to join us on our journey of true nourishment.
The role |
As an Assistant General Manager, you'll be an integral part of the restaurant leadership team, supporting the General Manager in leading the restaurant in the Wagamama way. You’ll embody our values, inspire and motivate your team to provide exceptional service, and strive to exceed expectations. You should have a passion for people, food, and hospitality, and be driven to make positive change.
Benefits include a competitive salary, £3000 bonus opportunity per year, an average of £140 tips per week, access to Wagestream, a dedicated 6-week training program, free food allowance on shifts, discounts at Wagamama and other brands, internal progression opportunities, wellness support, family-friendly policies, and financial wellbeing support.
What we look for |
An experienced hospitality manager capable of leading a team positively, driving performance in a fast-paced environment, and managing financial performance and budgets. You should be a passionate leader, an effective communicator, a problem solver, and an inspiring figure for your team.
The Wagamama way |
Our philosophy of 'Kaizen' or 'good change' shapes everything we do, from our food to our work culture. We celebrate difference, prioritize personality over perfection, and are committed to creating inclusive, safe spaces for real conversations.
