Assistant General Manager | Full Time
At wagamama, we’re an eating house for the soul. With over 160 UK restaurants and growing, our purpose is to nourish the world from bowl to soul. Inspired by fast-paced, Japanese ramen bars since 1992, wagamama is a celebration of Asian food brought to life.
We’re looking for an Assistant General Manager to join us on our journey of true nourishment.
The role:
As an Assistant General Manager, you'll be an integral part of the restaurant leadership team, supporting the General Manager in leading the restaurant in the wagamama way. You'll embody our values and leadership behaviors, inspiring and motivating your team to deliver exceptional service and exceed expectations. A passion for people, food, and hospitality, along with a drive to make positive change, are essential.
Benefits include a competitive salary, a £3000 bonus opportunity per year, an average of £140 tips per week, access to wagestream for up to 30% of earnings before payday, a dedicated 6-week training program, free wagamama food allowance on shifts, discounts at wagamama and other trg brands, internal progression opportunities, wellness programs, family-friendly policies, and financial wellbeing support.
What we look for:
The wagamama way:
Kaizen, meaning 'good change,' is our core philosophy. It influences everything we do, from our food to our work culture, emphasizing continuous improvement, diversity, and community impact. We celebrate personality over perfection, welcoming everyone's unique story, and promise to support and trust our team members.
All we ask is for you to bring your authentic self to wagamama.
Wagamama is proudly part of Disability Confident.
