Assistant General Manager | Full Time
At Wagamama, we’re an eating house for the soul. With over 160 UK restaurants and growing, our purpose is to nourish the world from bowl to soul. Inspired by fast-paced Japanese ramen bars since 1992, Wagamama is a celebration of Asian food brought to life.
We’re looking for an Assistant General Manager to join us on our journey of true nourishment.
The role:
As an Assistant General Manager, you'll be an integral part of the restaurant leadership team, supporting the General Manager in leading the restaurant in the Wagamama way. You’ll embody our values and core leadership behaviors, inspiring and motivating your team to provide exceptional service and exceed expectations. A passion for people, food, and hospitality, along with a drive to make positive change, are essential.
Benefits include a competitive salary, a £3000 bonus opportunity per year, an average of £140 tips per week, access to Wagestream to access up to 30% of earnings before payday, a dedicated 6-week training program, free Wagamama food allowance on shifts, discounts at Wagamama and other brands, internal progression opportunities, wellness support, family-friendly policies, and financial wellbeing support.
What we look for:
The Wagamama way:
Kaizen, meaning 'good change,' is our core philosophy—shaping everything we do, from our food to our mindset. We are committed to championing change in our communities and on the planet.
For over three decades, we’ve celebrated difference, valuing personality over perfection, welcoming everyone, and building trust and support. We create safe spaces for honest conversations and encourage you to bring your authentic self to Wagamama.
Wagamama is proudly part of Disability Confident.
