Assistant General Manager | Full Time
At Wagamama, we’re an eating house for the soul. With over 160 UK restaurants and growing, our purpose is to nourish the world from bowl to soul. Inspired by fast-paced, Japanese ramen bars since 1992, Wagamama is a celebration of Asian food brought to life.
We’re looking for an Assistant General Manager to join us on our continuous journey of true nourishment.
The Role:
As an Assistant General Manager, you'll be an integral part of the restaurant leadership team, supporting the General Manager in leading the restaurant in the Wagamama way. You’ll embody our values and core leadership behaviors, inspiring and motivating your team to provide exceptional service while striving to exceed expectations. A passion for people, food, and hospitality, along with a drive to make positive change, are essential.
Benefits include a competitive salary, a £3000 bonus opportunity per year, an average of £140 tips per week, access to Wagestream to access up to 30% of your earnings before payday, a dedicated 6-week training program, free Wagamama food allowance on every shift, discounts at Wagamama and other TRG brands, internal progression opportunities, wellness programs, family-friendly policies, and financial wellbeing support.
What We Look For:
The Wagamama Way:
Our philosophy, Kaizen, meaning 'good change', drives us to continuously improve in all aspects—from our food to our work environment, and our community impact. We celebrate difference and personality over perfection, creating inclusive spaces for open, honest conversations. We ask you to bring your authentic self to Wagamama.
