Westmorland and Furness Council is seeking a motivated homelessness advisor in the Housing Team. The permanent role focuses on giving advice and support to customers at risk of or experiencing homelessness, with delivery through partner agencies and robust case management.

The post requires knowledge of homelessness legislation, excellent communication, and an organised, solution-focused approach. Travel across the area is expected; a DBS check is required, and a driving licence or car is

Formación

• Some experience of providing homelessness advice and support
• Robust case management experience
• Experience of working in partnership with agencies in a customer-focused housing environment

Responsabilidades

• Deliver a robust homelessness service that gives advice and assistance to customers
• Support vulnerable individuals and families at risk of or experiencing homelessness
• Work with colleagues in the Homelessness Service and key partners
• Manage cases through robust case management
• Apply technical knowledge of homelessness legislation
• Coordinate day-to-day service delivery
• Carry out visits and attend meetings across the area
