Job summary

Tesco Retail in Reading is hiring a Customer Delivery Driver to bring groceries to customers’ homes across the area. This hands-on, physical role is varied and mostly independent, with support from managers and colleagues back at base as needed.

You’ll load the van, deliver within the booked time slot, handle order changes with warmth, and keep your vehicle and workspace tidy and safe. A valid UK driving licence with up to 3 points is required.

Qualifications

• Valid UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with up to 3 penalty points.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries within the customer’s time slot, at the doorstep with a friendly service.
• Load the van safely and keep the vehicle and work area clean and organized.
• Handle order changes, substitutions, or short-dated items professionally.
• Maintain good relationships with colleagues to deliver the best service.
