Job summary

Tesco UK in Reading is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver for permanent shifts. As the face of Tesco on the road, you’ll meet customers in their homes and ensure their orders arrive on time with a friendly, helpful service.

You’ll drive safely, load deliveries, handle substitutions, and keep the van tidy. The role offers flexible hours, a minimum 16 hours per week, employee discounts, wellbeing support, life cover and a generous pension.

Qualifications

• Strong customer-facing skills and a friendly, helpful attitude.
• Reliability and punctuality essential for on-time deliveries.
• Good communication and problem-solving when handling substitutions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with store managers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Keep van, trays and workspace clean and organized for each delivery.
• Load deliveries safely and conduct checks to ensure roadworthiness.
• Explain order changes to customers and arrange refunds when needed.
• Deliver within agreed time slots with warm, doorstep service.
