Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver fast, reliable roadside repairs and diagnostics. You will work within the York cluster, starting and finishing at home, covering local areas with a support-driven team in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll use your Level 2 qualification and 2+ years’ experience to keep members on the road, supported by a RAC van, fuel card, and full diagnostics kit.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) is required.
• At least 2 years' post-qualification technical experience.
• A customer-focused approach and a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Offer quick, confident solutions and reassure members on arrival.
• Start and finish days at home with a RAC van, fuel card, and tools.
