Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join the Chesterfield cluster. With a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience, you’ll perform diagnostics and roadside repairs, helping members return to the road quickly.

You’ll start and finish at home with a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit provided. Local shifts average 40 hours per week with overtime options.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic as alternative route.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Fix faults and get members back on the road quickly and confidently.
