Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to service the UK, using a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience to perform roadside repairs and diagnostics. You’ll handle emergency breakdowns with confidence and exceptional member service.

You’ll start and finish your day at home, receiving a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and a diagnostic kit. Shifts average 40 hours per week with optional overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic or
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members on the roadside.
• Start and finish each day at home while tackling challenges head-on with the RAC van and diagnostic kit.
