Job summary

Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician. You will diagnose and repair vehicles at the roadside, delivering quick, confident solutions and supporting members across the UK.

Based in the Exeter cluster, you’ll start and finish at home with typical 40 hours per week and optional overtime. You’ll receive an RAC van, fuel card, uniform, essential tools and a diagnostic kit to get the job done.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home with 40‑hour weeks and optional overtime.
• Work with RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit provided.
