Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Exeter cluster, covering Exeter and surrounding areas. You’ll be trained and equipped to perform diagnostic work, roadside repairs, and emergency breakdown support, keeping members moving across the UK.

Start and finish at home with a RAC van, fuel card, and tools provided. A Level 2 LV Maintenance qualification and 2+ years’ experience are required, along with a full UK driving licence (≤6 points).

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years’ experience as a Roadside Technician or Vehicle Technician.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support for RAC members.
• Tackle calls with shift patterns averaging 40 hours per week; overtime available.
