Job summary

Speedy is seeking a Hire Controller based in our depot to drive the end-to-end hire process and deliver exceptional customer service. You will coordinate orders, schedule deliveries and collections, and work closely with stock, drivers and engineers to keep equipment ready for customers.

The role emphasizes relationship-building with colleagues and customers, with a focus on efficient operations, problem-solving, and supporting our ESG initiatives through day-to-day actions.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational skills.
• Strong communication skills both verbally & written.
• Commitment to learn and develop.
• Driving license.
• Previous experience working within the hire industry or similar sales or operational role.
• Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the entire hire process from taking the order through to delivery and collection.
• Liaise with every part of the depot to ensure customer needs are met and that service is satisfactory.
• On a day-to-day basis, work desk-based and liaise with stock teams, drivers and engineers to minimise delays.
