Sunbelt Rentals UK & Ireland is recruiting for a Hire Controller to deliver a best-in-class customer service experience at our depot. You will welcome customers in person and via phone, email, and website requests, managing each order from enquiry through post-hire feedback, while identifying upselling opportunities and building lasting relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Customer Service role.
• Experience in the hire or construction industry would be advantageous but not essential.
• Experience developing and utilising product knowledge.
• Exceptional communication skills including negotiating and influencing.
• Comfortable using own judgment and initiative to make decisions in line with company policies.
• Effective team member with a collaborative approach.
• Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and suggesting process improvements.
• Good level of computer literacy in MS Office and willingness to learn new IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers visiting the depot, across face-to-face, phone, email and website requests.
• Manage an order from enquiry to post-hire feedback and own the customer journey.
• Deliver best-in-class service while maximising upselling opportunities using product knowledge.
• Build relationships with regular customers and ensure high standards of accuracy while handling multiple tasks.
• Support the team in a busy, hands-on operations environment with a proactive mindset.
