Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a proactive Hire Controller to join our Customer Service team in the UK. You will manage customer orders from initial enquiry through post-hire feedback, delivering a best-in-class service while leveraging product knowledge to upsell where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Customer Service role, preferably handling inbound order/sales enquiries.
• Previous experience in the hire or construction industry would be advantageous but not essential.
• Experience developing and utilising product knowledge, eager to understand our product range and the wider Sunbelt business.
• Exceptional communication skills including negotiating and influencing. Engaging and building relationships with internal and external customers.
• Comfortable using your own judgement and initiative to make decisions in line with company policies and pricing structures.
• An effective team member with a supportive, collaborative approach.
• A flexible and adaptable approach for a varied, fast-paced operational environment with multiple tasks and deadlines.
• A commitment to continuous improvement, proposing and acting on process improvements.
• Good level of computer literacy in MS Office; willing to learn new IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a best-in-class service while using product knowledge to maximise upselling opportunities.
• Communicate with customers by telephone, email and website requests throughout the order journey.
• Manage an order from enquiry to post-hire feedback, owning the customer journey.
• Build relationships with regular customers and ensure high service levels.
