Salary: Band 6 Points 23-25 (Actual Salary 26,553 - 28,041)

Contract: Permanent, Part-time (32.5 hours per week, Term time plus 1 week). Some flexibility in working hours may be considered.

Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic team at Altrincham College. We seek to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated person to join our SEN Team as a Higher-Level/ Level 4 Teaching Assistant (LSA). Our LSAs provide vital and valuable support to some of our most vulnerable children in school. In particular, this role will bridge the gap between KS2 and KS3 with a focus on mathematics or SEMH.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality support to students under the direction of teaching staff, including leading learning activities for a group/class of students.
  • Support pupils to access learning in mathematics and SEMH-focused activities, bridging transitions from KS2 to KS3.
  • Work as part of the SEN Team to support vulnerable learners and contribute to a positive, respectful school environment.
  • Be flexible in role delivery and collaborate with colleagues to meet students’ welfare and educational needs.
