Description

Job title: Cost Estimating Apprentice

Location: Glasgow

Salary: Starting from £24,125 with annual progression through the scheme duration.

What you'll be doing
  • You’ll develop your knowledge, skills and experience across the different aspects of the Estimating discipline and wider Commercial function.
  • You will work on all aspects of cost estimating from bid-related activity, ongoing contract management and outturn forecasting up to and including final pricing, across the full Life Cycle Management spectrum, in accordance with the end-to-end Estimating process.
  • Supporting the cost estimating end-to-end processes and understand how the processes as set out, interact with the role.
  • Generating and populating cost models by collating and analysing data from multiple sources (e.g. actual business operating costs, national statistics or business rates) to support the business.
  • Develop labour and material cost models, to support major programmes as they progress through the shipbuilding life cycle.
