Job summary

GAP Group Limited is seeking a Hire & Sales Coordinator to join our Survey division, handling hire requests and coordinating logistics in a busy depot environment.

As the first point of contact for customers, you will manage hires, liaise with drivers and suppliers, resolve queries, and help maximise sales while building strong relationships across construction, utilities, and infrastructure sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume hire desk or fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service with a commercial edge.
• Strong communication and organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Confident IT skills (Outlook and Excel).
• Team player who can also work independently and take initiative.
• Experience in plant & tool hire industry is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Managing incoming and outgoing hires per day.
• Processing hire desk administration and handling customer and supplier queries with speed and accuracy.
• Ensuring stock levels meet demand and identifying opportunities to maximise sales.
• Coordinating with drivers and fitters to ensure timely deliveries and collections.
• Resolving customer complaints and supplier issues with professionalism.
