Job summary

A well-established Truck & Trailer maintenance business is seeking an HGV Technician for their Preston depot. The role involves conducting vehicle inspections, servicing, and repairs. Ideal candidates will have full industry qualifications, knowledge of Truck & Trailer maintenance, and the ability to perform diagnostics. This full-time role offers a competitive financial package of £44,000 per annum plus overtime, alongside a strong benefits package including ongoing training and a pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Hold full industry qualifications and have served a recognized apprenticeship.
• Knowledge of Truck & Trailer Maintenance required.
• A commercial licence is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out thorough vehicle inspections in line with the 'O' licence requirements.
• Perform repairs highlighted during initial inspections.
• Conduct general servicing and MOT preparation.

Depot Location: Preston

Working Hours: 7am to 7pm Sunday to Tuesday & Wednesday = 7am to 1pm

Shifts available Sunday to Wednesday

Contract Type: Full time / Permanent role

Financial Package: £44000 Per Annum (Plus Overtime)

My client, a well-established Truck & Trailer maintenance business is actively seeking to employ an HGV Technicians on night shifts.

Working in an established team of HGV Technician, you will be required to undertake the following:

• Carry out thorough vehicle inspections in line with the 'O' licence requirements
• Carry out any repairs required that have been highlighted on the initial inspection
• General Servicing and MOT preparation
• Fault finding & diagnostics
• Updating all required paperwork / databases

The successful HGV HGV Technician will have the following attributes:

• hold full industry qualifications and have served a recognised apprenticeship.
• Have detailed knowledge and understanding of Truck & Trailer Maintenance
• A commercial licence would be a distinct advantage for isn't essential
• Knowledge of Hydraulic and Electrical systems, maintenance and repair
