A well-established business in the HGV industry is seeking an HGV Technician for a night shift in Carlisle. This full-time role offers a competitive salary of £50,500 to £52,000 per annum, along with ongoing training and a strong pension scheme. The successful candidate will carry out vehicle inspections, repairs, servicing, and diagnostics. Essential qualifications include full industry certification and knowledge of truck maintenance. Qualifications

  • Hold full industry qualifications and have served a recognized apprenticeship.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Truck & Trailer Maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Hydraulic and Electrical systems, maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out thorough vehicle inspections in line with the 'O' licence requirements.
  • Carry out any repairs required that have been highlighted on the initial inspection.
  • General Servicing and MOT preparation.

Job description
HGV Technician

Depot Location: Carlisle


Working Hours: 8pm to 7am (44 hour week) Tuesday to Friday (4 nights a week)


Contract Type: Full time / Permanent role


Financial Package: £50,500 to £52,000 Per Annum (£22ph)

My client, a well-established business in the HGV Industry is actively seeking to employ an HGV Technician on a night shift.



  • Carry out thorough vehicle inspections in line with the 'O' licence requirements

  • Carry out any repairs required that have been highlighted on the initial inspection

  • General Servicing and MOT preparation

  • Fault finding & diagnostics

  • Updating all required paperwork / databases


The successful HGV Technician will have the following attributes;



  • hold full industry qualifications and have served a recognised apprenticeship.

  • Have detailed knowledge and understanding of Truck & Trailer Maintenance

  • A commercial licence would be a distinct advantage for isn't essential

  • Knowledge of Hydraulic and Electrical systems, maintenance and repair
