Overview

HGV Technician - Late Shift (12:00 - 22:00, Mon-Fri)

Location: Coventry
Salary: Up to £55,000 + Overtime

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a skilled HGV Technician to join a well-established organisation. This is a permanent late shift role (12:00 - 22:00, Monday to Friday), offering stability, overtime opportunities, and an excellent working environment.

This position is ideal for an experienced HGV Technician who enjoys working later hours and prefers mornings free.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out servicing, inspections, and maintenance of HGVs
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
  • Undertake complex repairs including engines and gearboxes
  • Ensure all work is accurately documented
  • Work in line with health & safety regulations
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve workshop efficiency
  • Provide support and guidance to apprentices and junior technicians
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
  • Proven background as an HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter
  • Strong diagnostic skills with a solid understanding of vehicle systems
  • Full driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential)
  • Must have own tools
  • IRTEC certification advantageous (training can be provided for the right candidate)
