Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic to join a commercial vehicle dealership in Heathrow. The position involves maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics within a busy workshop. Ideal candidates should hold a City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics and have experience in a fleet or dealership. This role offers a basic salary of £48,000 plus overtime, with a potential OTE of £70,000.

Qualifications

  • Qualified at City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics.
  • Experience in HGV Mechanic roles, preferable in fleet or dealership settings.
  • C + E driving licence is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake maintenance, repairs, and major overhauls in a busy workshop.
  • Complete standard servicing and diagnostics.
  • Follow the repair process from fault analysis to completion.

Job Role: HGV Mechanic

Location: Heathrow

Basic: £48,000 + Overtime

OTE: £70,000

Hours: 6am-2:30pm week 1 & 2pm-10:30pm week 2 - Monday-Friday

The client is a commercial vehicle dealership; they are looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join their team at their state-of-the-art depot.

About your new HGV Mechanic Job role

As an HGV Mechanic you will be based in a busy workshop environment you will be required to undertake all levels of maintenance, repairs and major overhauls as well as completing standard servicing and diagnostics.

You must be capable of following the repair process from fault analysis to completion.

The successful HGV Mechanic must have the following attributes
  • Be apprentice trained and qualified to City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
  • Experience working as an HGV Mechanic in a fleet or dealership environment.
  • Having a C + E (class 1) driving licence is beneficial but not essential.
