Job summary

Everi, Inc. is hiring an HGV Class 1 driver for a permanent role in Thames Valley. Working Monday to Friday with 9-hour shifts and 45 hours per week, you will operate a modern Volvo fleet and be home after each shift.

The role includes routine vehicle checks, route planning, and occasional loading/unloading duties. A CPC qualification is required, with CPDC training hours completed or in progress.

Qualifications

• Class 1 Driving licence.
• Driver CPC qualification card.
• Completed DCPC training hours or working towards them.
• Excellent knowledge of Road Transport Laws and safety.

Responsibilities

• Drive a lorry from our Volvo fleet and ensure timely deliveries.
• Plan routes and manage 4–6 stops per shift.
• Inspect vehicle and trailer daily; complete a defect report.
• Assist with loading/unloading where required and operate pallet trucks.

What You'll Do:

You will drive a lorry from our exceptional fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old. They're a joy to drive, and are equipped to a high specification, including fridges, leather seats and many more optional extras to make sure you're comfortable. Most of our sites run from Monday to Friday, with 45 hour working weeks, and 9-hour shifts per day. Our well-organised shift schedules mean you often know in advance where you'll be driving, taking the stress out of your day. Key Role Responsibilities We don't micromanage our drivers. We trust them to get the job done and plan their own routes. The average number of stops in a shift is 4 to 6, so there's plenty of time to enjoy being out on the open road - but you'll still be home again at the end of every 9-hour shift. You'll make sure
Cages, Pallets, Freight, Stillages and Yorks get to and from customers bang on time. At some sites, the goods will be loaded or unloaded for you - at others, you'll need to do it yourself. Scanning consignments and driving pallet trucks will sometimes be part of your day. You'll be responsible for inspecting your vehicle and trailer every day and complete a Defect Report if necessary.
