Job summary

EVRi International is seeking a HGV Class 1 Driver in Carlisle for a permanent role with 45 hours per week. The position features Sunday to Thursday shifts starting between 16:00 and 19:15, with a 45-hour week and a salary of £42,798.60.

You will drive a modern Volvo fleet, plan your routes, and ensure timely delivery to regional hubs. The role emphasizes independence and home time after each 9-hour shift, with comprehensive benefits and annual leave.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Drive a lorry from our Volvo fleet, with modern specifications and comfort features.
• Trunk to regional hubs on the night shift and plan your own routes.
• Be home after every 9-hour shift while maintaining on-time deliveries.
• Inspect vehicle and trailer daily and complete a Defect Report if needed.
• Scan consignments and operate pallet trucks where required.

WhatYou’llDo:

You will drive a lorry from our exceptional fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old.They’rea joy to drive, and are equipped to a high specification, including fridges, leatherseatsand many more optional extras to make sureyou’recomfortable.

Most of our sites run from Monday to Friday, with 45 hour working weeks, and9-hourshifts per day which typically start at5/6pm. Our well-organised shift schedules mean you often know in advance whereyou’llbe driving, taking the stress out of your day.

Key Role Responsibilities

Wedon’tmicromanage our drivers. We trust them to get the job done and plan their own routes.This job involves trunking to regional hubs on the night shift. So, if you like the independence of being out on the open road for long stretches - but also want to be home again at the end of every 9-hour shift, this is the job for you.

You’llmake sure Cages, Pallets, Freight, Stillages and Yorks get to and from customers bang on time.At some sites, the goods will be loaded or unloaded for you - at others,you’llneed to do it yourself. Scanning consignments and driving pallet trucks will sometimes be part of your day.

You’llbe responsible forinspecting your vehicle and trailer every day and complete a Defect Report if necessary.
