Qualifications

• Must hold a valid HGV licence and a Digital Tachograph card.
• Must maintain a Full UK Driving Licence with max 6 penalty points.
• Previous experience in the waste industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete multi drop deliveries and collections throughout NI.
• Ensure customer service skills that support the RiverRidge Brand.
• Perform vehicle checks and report defects to the Transport Office.
• Follow driver’s hours regulations and safe operation of vehicles.
• Work collaboratively with the transport team for operational excellence.
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Job description

We are currently looking for HGV Drivers (C) to join our busy teams at our site in Garvagh. As a Driver you will be required to complete multi drop deliveries and collections throughout NI. The Driver will also be required to collect and move commercial containers when required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent customer service skills that support the RiverRidge Brand
• Ensure Health & Safety adherence at all times
• Complete vehicle checks in line with Operating licence procedures, reporting any defects to the Transport Office (both electronically and verbally)
• Follow all regulations relating to driver’s hours and safe operation of heavy goods vehicles
• Working collaboratively with the transport team to ensure excellent operational service is maintained, and continually improved
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Undertake all necessary training, & cooperate with the security clearance process as required
• Any other duties as delegated by the Transport Department

Skills and Qualifications

• Must hold a valid HGV licence - Category ‘C’
• Must hold a Digital Tachograph card and Full Driver CPC
• Full UK Driving Licence (Max of 6 penalty points)
• Basic disclosure checks i.e., Access NI, will be required and should be maintained
• Ability to undertake manual work
• Flexible approach to working hours is required in relation to finish times, weekends, and bank holidays
• Good Communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Good knowledge of driver’s hours, rules, and regulations
• Minimum of 6 months HGV driving experience
• Previous experience working in the waste industry
