Job summary

Panda is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our Widnes depot and support our waste management operations. You will operate from our Widnes depot, collect and transport commercial/industrial waste with the modern HGV fleet, and enjoy early, Monday–Friday shifts with paid breaks and potential weekend overtime for a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

Valid UK Class 2 license and current Driver CPC.
Digital tachograph card required.
Experience in waste sector operations (preferred).
Strong knowledge of waste hierarchy and environmental compliance.
Customer-focused communication skills.
Physical fitness for manual handling tasks.

Responsibilities

Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles for waste collections.
Plan efficient routes to maximise productivity and minimise environmental impact.
Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring sites are tidy and bins correctly positioned.
Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects.
Adhere to waste duty of care regulations, drivers’ hours, and health/safety standards.
