Job summary

Panda in Widnes is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our Bromborough team and support our environmental services operations. You will operate from the Widnes depot, collecting and transporting commercial waste with our modern fleet, with early shifts and potential weekend overtime.

The ideal candidate has a UK Class 2 licence, Driver CPC, tachograph card, and a focus on safety, sustainability, and reliable customer service. Competitive pay and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 2 licence and Driver CPC.
• Digital tachograph card required.
• Experience in waste sector operations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of waste hierarchy and compliance.
• Customer-focused communication and physical fitness.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles for waste collections.
• Plan efficient routes to maximise productivity and minimise environmental impact.
• Deliver excellent customer service and keep sites tidy with correct bin placement.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Adhere to waste duty of care, drivers’ hours and safety standards.
