Job summary

Panda, a leading waste management solutions provider based in Widnes, is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team. You will operate from the Widnes depot, collecting and transporting commercial/industrial waste with our modern fleet.

Shifts are Mon-Fri from 3–4 am, with paid breaks and weekend overtime options. Expect a stable 40-hour week, training, and opportunities for career progression within a supportive, safety-first environment.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 2 licence + current Driver CPC.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Experience in waste sector operations (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of waste hierarchy and environmental compliance.
• Customer-focused communication skills.
• Physical fitness for manual handling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles for waste collections.
• Plan efficient routes to maximise productivity and minimise environmental impact.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring sites are tidy and bins correctly positioned.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Adhere to waste duty of care regulations, drivers' hours, and health/safety standards.
