Job summary

Panda is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our Widnes depot team, operating from Widnes and serving Bromborough operations. You’ll safely collect and transport commercial/industrial waste using our modern fleet, with Monday–Friday shifts starting at 3–4 am and a paid break, within a stable 40-hour week.

We offer a competitive pay rate (£14.47/hour) with overtime (£18.09/hour), performance bonuses, full PPE and training, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 2 licence + current Driver CPC.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Experience in waste sector operations (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of waste hierarchy and environmental compliance.
• Customer-focused communication skills.
• Physical fitness for manual handling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles for waste collections.
• Plan efficient routes to maximise productivity and minimise environmental impact.
• Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring sites are tidy and bins positioned correctly.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Adhere to waste duty of care regulations, drivers’ hours and health/safety standards.
