Job summary

Panda, a leading waste management solutions provider based in Widnes, is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver for our Widnes depot. You will operate from our modern fleet, collect and transport waste with Monday–Friday shifts starting early mornings, and enjoy overtime opportunities.

We offer a 40-hour week, paid breaks, PPE/uniform, ongoing training, and a clear path for progression within a supportive team focused on sustainability and responsible waste management.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 2 licence and Driver CPC.
• Digital tachograph card required.
• Experience in waste sector operations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of waste hierarchy and environmental compliance.
• Customer-focused communication skills.
• Physical fitness for manual handling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles for waste collections.
• Plan efficient routes to maximise productivity and minimise environmental impact.
• Deliver customer service, ensuring sites are tidy and bins correctly positioned.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Adhere to waste duty of care regulations, drivers' hours and health/safety standards.
