Job summary

Panda is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver for our Widnes depot. You will operate skip and RoRo vehicles, deliver and exchange containers, and maintain high safety and customer service standards.

A CPC and tachograph card are essential, with prior HGV experience preferred in waste management. The role offers a 45-hour guaranteed week with overtime paid after 40 hours, paid breaks, PPE and uniform, ongoing training, and a company pension.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card.
• Proven experience driving HGVs, ideally within the waste management sector.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, safety regulations, and compliance.
• Flexible to support operational needs, including a 6am start and occasional Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Operating HGV Class 2 skip and RoRo vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Delivering, exchanging, and collecting containers across customer sites.
• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects promptly.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and road laws.
• Working safely at all times and following site, transport, and road regulations.
• Providing a professional and helpful service to customers on site.
• Supporting the wider transport and depot team at our Widnes site.
