Job summary

Panda in Widnes is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join its environmental services team. You’ll safely collect and transport commercial waste from the Widnes depot, with Monday–Friday shifts starting at 3–4 am and a paid break, plus potential weekend overtime.

You’ll receive a competitive pay rate of £14.47/hour with overtime at £18.09/hour, a full PPE provision, ongoing training, and clear career progression within a modern fleet that emphasises safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 2 licence and current Driver CPC.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Waste sector experience preferred.
• Knowledge of waste hierarchy and environmental compliance.
• Customer-focused communication.
• Physically fit for manual handling.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles for waste collections.
• Plan efficient routes to maximise productivity and minimise environmental impact.
• Deliver excellent customer service and keep sites tidy.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Adhere to waste duty of care regulations and drivers’ hours.
