Job summary

Blue Arrow is hiring a HGV Class 1 Driver for Nottingham (NG6). The role involves fixed weekend shifts with 12-hour spans, trunking to Midlands hubs, and no multi-drop work. A clean driving record and valid CPC/Tachograph card are required, with induction paid during midweek.

Onsite parking is available and shifts are pre-booked to support work-life balance. Applicants from a range of backgrounds are welcome, with opportunities for long-term development.

Qualifications

• Full UK Class C+E Licence.

• 12 months HGV Class 1 experience.

• Destinations: Midlands Hubs with trunk runs to hub and back or single collection.
• No multi-drop or hand ball, clean driving work only.

Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver

Contract Type: Pre-booked, ongoing or adhoc

Positions Available: 2

Location: Nottingham - NG6

Pay Rates

• Saturday: £23.52ph until midnight, £26.25ph after and £25.25ph OT after 8 hours
• Sunday: £26.25ph until midnight, £18.15ph after and £25.25ph OT after 8 hours

45 minute break deducted daily and rates increase after 12 weeks service

Shift Patterns

• Fixed Shifts: Saturday and/or Sunday
• Average Shift Length: 12 hours
• Start times vary between 14:00 - 22:00
• Pre-booked rota for better planning

Job Role

• Destinations: Midlands Hubs
• Workload: Straight trunk to hub and back or x1 collection
• No multi-drop
• No hand ball - clean driving work only

Vehicle & Equipment Info

• Modern fleet
• Telematics and route planning tech used

Requirements

• Full UK Class C+E Licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• 6 points maximus - no DR/DG/CC/DD/BA endorsements
• Minimum 12 months' HGV Class 1 experience
• Data available on your tachograph card displaying work over last 3 - 6 months
• Full induction required - this is paid time and must be completed on a midweek
