Job summary

Blue Arrow is seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver for Bridgwater (TA6). The role involves fixed weekend shifts, straight trunk runs to Midlands hubs, and no multi-drop work. A modern fleet and telematics support route planning.

Applicants must hold a Full UK Class C+E license with CPC and Tachograph, and have 12+ months of HGV1 experience with up to 6 points. A paid induction and predictable rota enhance work-life balance.

• Max 6 points; no DR/DG/CC/DD/BA endorsements.
• Minimum 12 months HGV Class 1 experience.

• No hand ball; clean driving work only.
• Fixed weekend shifts with pre-booked rota.

Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver

Contract Type: Pre-booked, ongoing or adhoc

Positions Available: 1

Location: Bridgwater - TA6

Pay Rates

• Saturday: £23.52ph until midnight, £26.25ph after and £25.25ph OT after 8 hours
• Sunday: £26.25ph until midnight, £18.15ph after and £25.25ph OT after 8 hours
• 45 minute break deducted daily and rates increase after 12 weeks service

Shift Patterns

• Fixed Shifts: Saturday and/or Sunday
• Average Shift Length: 12 hours
• Start times vary between 14:00 - 22:00
• Pre-booked rota for better planning

Job Role

• Destinations: Midlands Hubs
• Workload: Straight trunk to hub and back or x1 collection
• No multi-drop
• No hand ball - clean driving work only

Vehicle & Equipment Info

• Modern fleet
• Telematics and route planning tech used

Requirements

• Full UK Class C+E Licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• 6 points maximus - no DR/DG/CC/DD/BA endorsements
• Minimum 12 months' HGV Class 1 experience
• Data available on your tachograph card displaying work over last 3 - 6 months
• Full induction required - this is paid time and must be completed on a midweek
