Salary: £40,037.40 (standard 45‑hr week). Average pay when working 50 hours per week is £46,709.90.
Location: Ampthill, Bedfordshire.
Working days: Monday to Friday.

About You!
- Class 1 HGV driving licence (C+E) – essential
- HIAB qualification – essential
- At least 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Good geographical knowledge of local and surrounding areas
- Customer‑focused experience and expertise to deliver this role fully
- Good physical health – the role can be physically demanding at times
- Flexible approach to work, able to undertake reasonable overtime and comply with health & safety practice
About the Role!
- Deliver and collect the company’s units and equipment to customers, ensuring correct location and timing while planning for optimum fuel consumption and efficient driver time.
- Inspect all units on collection to ensure they are in good order, recording any visible damage, excessive dirtiness or missing items.
- Complete all necessary company paperwork correctly to avoid disputes, including signatures for time of delivery/collection and any damage or missing plant.
- Drive company vehicles safely, courteously and responsibly, operating within transport regulations, driving‑hour limits and tacograph requirements.
- Operate all lifting equipment safely and in accordance with company safety directives and method statements, loading and unloading plant and equipment correctly, ensuring axle weights are not exceeded.
- Carry out daily checks of vehicle and any lifting/holding equipment (straps, chains), record defects and report them to the foreman, depot manager or fleet manager.
